Annika Eriksdotter is a versatile artist from Karlstad. She grew up in a family of artists, therefore creativity has always naturally surrounded her. Eriksdotter works full-time as an artist and explores different materials and means of expression, such as photography, embroidery and storytelling. The theme in her art and book projects is nature, people and everyday life, and touches on everything from the silence of the deep forest and the warmth of family, to the darkness and doubt in our inner lives to the fast-paced world of motorsport.

Eriksdotter has received numerous awards, is represented in the public space with purchased works by both municipalities and regions etcetera, and has recently been an Artist in Residence at Biblioteksbussen in Säffle, where she worked on the project ”Alla dessa berättelser – Rapport från en biblioteksbuss” (”All these stories – Report from a Bookmobile”) together with artist Kerstin Wessberg.

Eriksdotter now presents an exhibition where you can expect action, speed and party through a selection of photographs from the newly published book ”Höljes Rallycross Backstage”. With humor and warmth, the pictures take you behind the scenes of autocross, where cars, competitions and visitors mix with the surrounding nature and the expansive views of the northern Värmland landscape.
