Dan Henriksson
1 maj – 27 maj 2025
The artistic ceramist from Skoghall who is inspired by all that happens here and now.
Dan Henriksson, born in 1967 in Skoghall, Hammarö, is a self-taught ceramist who grew up in a creative environment where ceramics, painting and gardening were the cornerstones of creativity. His passion for ceramics began early and his curiosity for the endless possibilities of clay was awakened through guidance and encouragement from his mother, who was also a ceramist.
Henriksson takes inspiration from everything that happens here and now – it can be a feature in the news or a letter to the editor of the local newspaper. He is open to all impressions that can give his creativity an extra boost. His works often have a personal touch, where he reflects on life’s little pleasures and everyday moments in a humorous and thought-provoking way.
Henriksson has participated in several jury-judged exhibitions and has received several recognitions for his artistry. In his exhibition at the Old Power Station, Henriksson explores the theme ”Today’s Enjoyers”. Visitors will encounter sculptures and objects that depict the simple, yet loving moments that make us smile – reading a good book, a freshly picked flower, hunting, fishing, or why not the pleasure of tasting a freshly baked cinnamon bun.
