The detail loving artist from Laholm who creates new worlds in the form of fictional landscapes.
Henrik Stenberg is a trained artist and has received numerous awards who lives and works in Laholm. The foundation for his creation was laid in childhood drawings, and the exciting and immersive nature of telling stories with pictures, processing experiences or creating new worlds. Eventually, at the Art School in Västerås, where he also grew up, he was exposed to painting. Studies at Konstfack followed and in addition to painting, which has become his main form of expression, Stenberg has over the years worked with other art forms such as sculpting and performance.
Stenberg explains that art is a place where he can immerse himself in something exciting and perhaps surprising that is at the same time tangible. There he processes his world around him with acrylic paint and lets himself be swept away to new places. Hoping that his work will also appeal to the viewer.
Stenberg’s interest in phenomena in his surrounding world is expressed in his art. Sometimes through different themes, but in recent years he has become particularly fond of creating new worlds in the form of fictional landscapes, with connections to the real world. These can be experienced in his exhibition. In other words, you have the chance to go on a journey of discovery in a detailed wilderness.
