MARIE-LOUISE LANDÉN – the colourful artist from Stockholm and Copenhagen who, using geometry and energy, paints the kaleidoscope of life.
Marie-Louise Landén has been a professional artist for over twenty-five years and has studios in both Stockholm and Copenhagen. Marie-Louise Landén has, among other things, a three-year art education and has also studied with Gunnel Moheim. She is very active and has a long series of exhibitions behind her.
Marie-Louise says: ”When I started painting a long time ago, it was to create worlds where life is good and worlds where we humans live in harmony with nature. Eventually I found my fantasy houses. Houses that occasionally transform into small shapes of squares and triangles, just like life; a constant change.”
Marie-Louise playfully experiments with spatiality and shapes. Mostly she works with oil. Her works are characterised by energy, geometry, perspective, joy, sophistication and powerful colours.
The kaleidoscope of life is the great source of inspiration to Marie-Louise who says; “All the little parts that somehow magically fit together even though we may not see it. It is also connected with my life philosophy and yoga, which I have practiced and worked with for a large part of my life.”
