MATS NYMAN – the exploratory artist from Karlsborg who imaginatively pushes the boundaries in 3D works and digital graphics.
Mats Nyman from Karlsborg in Västra Götaland discovered an early passion for ceramics and cultivated his skills as an autodidact. With unwavering determination, he established his own ceramics workshop and created a range of uniquely designed products known throughout Sweden.
Later, Mats and his wife embarked on a new venture and for two decades they owned and operated an art café that became a beloved hub for artists and art enthusiasts. Now Mats builds on the success of the art café and runs a bed and breakfast business that integrates accommodation with art experience.
Pushing the boundaries of artistic expression is something that drives Mats. He has immersed himself in 3D and digital graphics. By combining traditional ceramic techniques with innovative tools, he creates visually captivating works, characterised by strong colours and imagination. Works that Mats hopes evoke emotions, tickle the imagination and create wonder in the viewer. Mats gets his inspiration from personal meetings and he lets his artworks reflect his own life experiences. Through the exploration of 3D and digital graphics, he lifts his art to new dimensions and describes that he uses the power to evoke emotions but also the power to inspire those who encounter his work.
During the exhibition, you as a viewer have the opportunity to go on a journey of discovery in Mat’s world of colour, imagination and wonder.
